Sorry, I'm still new to this. If I want to store music to listen to on my Pearl 8130, what is best music format/compression (mp3, wma, aac, etc.)? If the answer is buy them from iTunes, can I jsu download the files and transfer them to the SDmicro card and use as downloaded?

    Thanks in advance,

mp3 will do just fine. iTunes is not compatible with a BlackBerry. Other users have found this out the hard way. Any audio file that has DRM will not work, which iTunes has.

you can burn them to a cd and then rip them back to the pc. i would just look to purchase tunes w/out drm to save you the trouble. i have ripped all my cds and loaded some to the berry w/ no problems.

Thanks for the feedback and the welcome! Does the compression of the mp3 matter?

I usually try to use at least 128kb.

Not all iTunes songs have DRM. The Verizon tech told me the ones without DRM will work just fine on the BB.
