You dont need to. Refer to the 8310 OS upgrade link: http://forums.crackberry.com/f52/new...anguage-55061/

Follow the instructions step by step and you wont have a problem.

I would say get to know your bb a little better before you attempt this. Don't want you to turn your berry into a paper weight

if you are totally new to Berries I would wait a while before upgrading as it can be confusing. Maybe get to know your device a bit first!? If ya decide to do it check out the Upgrade/Downgrade Procedure link in my sig and ask questions if at all unsure

As others have said, it would be best to wait awhile until you are more familiar with your phone and some of the terminology used.

HAve a look at this post http://forums.crackberry.com/f3/prop...ocedure-53359/ so as to better understand the process.

I upgraded my phone from 4.3 to 4.5 the very same week I got it. I was a little nervous... but if you follow all the instructions correctly you shouldn't have any trouble. There's a lot of documentation on this site!
