I've bee offered to buy an unlocked Storm. The guy says I just need to put my actual sim card in it and it will work. Is it as easy as he says?

Carefull... if its a pre-release test or demo device it may still belong to RIM. Sometime shortly after commercial release they usually disable the PIN for all the pre release models so you could be buying a paperweight.
