From my curve you need to press alt, right shift and delete. Sadly I can't see what device you have as I'm on wap.

Or you could just download 'Soft Reset' as us Pearl users can't do the Alt, Rght Shift, delete.

This is odd...I used to be able to do the LEFT SHIFT+ALT+DELETE.
Since I upgraded to OS 4.5, I now have to use RIGHT SHIFT+ALT+DELETE
No big thing but a bit of an odd and useless change to make isn't it? Probably some usability study RIM did.

You can also try the free app QuickPull. It supposedly simulates a battery pull.
