I just bought a new purse with 2 pockets that would fit my BB perfectly. But they have magnetic closures. Is it okay to still put my BB in those pockets with the magnets?
Many of the BlackBerry OEM cases come with a magnet in the case. The BlackBerry has a sensor that can detect the magnet and put the BlackBerry to sleep when it's holstered. That saves battery power. The only thing the magnets in your purse might do is put the BlackBerry to sleep, if it gets close enough. That's not a problem. Your BlackBerry will still wake up and ring if you get a call, or an email if you have alerts enabled.
Unless you've got the phone in a protective sleeve of some type, you do run the risk of getting the screen badly scratched by metal objects in your purse, if the BlackBerry is free to move around and scrape against other purse contents.
