I am having problems that i have been unable to find a solution to, so the only option i have is to reinstall the OS (I guess). Question is, will this have any affect on my warranty. I know alltel looks for any excuse to void, so i am just concerned that if i attempt to do this i will screw it up and loose out if i try to return it. I am not totally comfortable messing around with the operating system on my Pearl, but i don't know what else to do.

It won't effect you warranty if it is the OS that was released by your carrier.

By the way, what are your problems?

Correct - the official version won't cause any warranty issues, but maybe explain what your problem is and someone here may be able to help you.

I listed it in another post and didn't want to double post.
I went thru the memory optimization steps i found on here, and basically for some reason my data connection just stops working and my alarm won't work. Both say they are on, so i have to turn them off, save, turn on, save, just to get them to work for a while.
I communicate mostly by email, and don't have time to stop ever little while and check to see if it is working.

LOL! If you brick it, it is only temporary, it is fixable.
