I keep seeing push and pull. What is that? Please remember, I'm not very computer literate so you may have to explain this in baby talk.

Push is what BB uses to get email to your device. They Send it to you. Pull is when you need to go get your email by request. Did I explain that well enough?

So, like Chaz said... imagine RIM somewhere "pushing" your email from a server down to your BB.
Other devices are on "pull", wherein the device will reach out to a server and "pull" the email to it.
You never have to ask for your email to be sent to the BB... it is automatically pushed.

Super Bad
Push is like if your office has somebody that comes around to deliver mail to you.
Pull is like if you go out to your mail box to see if you have mail.
Just though I would add one more analogy.

Push if like the little sh*t that bugged you in elementary school.
Pull is what you would do to his pants.
