Help !! It looks like I screwed something up this evening. The desktop manager is no longer seeing a PIN on my BB and I don't see it in Options->about.

What have I done ... and more importantly, what do I do now?

Try and uninstall and reinstall desktop manager. The program has probably become corrupt. Does your blackberry function properly?

PIN will not show in Options > About but it will in Options > Status. For the DM not recognizing it, I would shut down you computer and BB and then restart and see if that helps.

Try that and if it doesn't work assuming you're using windows go to start control panel, add/remove programs and find blackberry desktop manager and uninstall it. Then download the newest version (4.5) from blackberry.com and install. It should fix your problem.

The pin is there in options -> status. If I'm only dealing with a corruption in the DT Manager then this isn't anything scary. I'll uninstall and reinstall in the morning. I about gave myself heart failure thinking that I did something to the OS....

I very much appreciate the quick responses.

You should be fine. It just seems like your pc isn't recognizing the blackberry properly. A reinstall of the dm will reinstall the device drivers and should solve the problem. Let us know how it goes
