Hi;

I am planning to buy the Storm with Verizon.
I have a family share plan with multiple phones on it.
Just want to make correct decision as to new plan.

Is it right for me to keep current family share plan and then add data($30) and Text/picture messaging($10) on the storm.

Is there any other way to do txt or only by doing e-mail with the data plan?

I don't own a BB yet. (My wife does and I covet it so!) But I read somewhere in here that there is an online text message app that you can send and receive texts with. but I don't know what the name or price is. So, keep reading. it's in here somewhere!

You can text and email on any blackberry, but you must have a data plan.

If you get a Berry you will want a data plan, preferably unlimited and you got nothing to worry about...

I will be getting a data plan but it seems that I would also need to buy a TXT/pic plan ($10) also if I want to use that function.

Is there a way to send and receive Txt without the extra plan and not be charged for incoming/outgoing txt?

I called Verizon today and with my plan for my Voyager all I have to get is a data plan added, unlimited. I already got the unlimited IN text and 1500 other. 29.99 more a month for the data plan.

Ask if they can give you an email only plan... but to get the $199 price, I believe it may be an unlimited data plan required.

With Verizon you need a data plan and a text plan, if you do a lot of texting. I stayed with the family plan to share the minutes with 3 additional phones. It seemed to be the cheapest way to go. Hope this helps.
