I've had my pearl 8130 for about a month now. I keep having the problem of not receiving text messages from people and my call log won�t save missed calls. The message block comes up and says 2 missed calls, view or close. If I choose View, it does nothing. If I choose close and go to the call log, it shows nothing. Very frustrating!!! I love the everything this phone does but, if it cant handle two of the most common things I need my phone for, well its rather useless.

Yeah, that works but should I have to do that all the time to make sure my brand new phone works right. How often should I have to do it. Is this a common problem with blackberrys??

314993 bytes. Plus i have a 1gb memory chip in the phone.

It's just a good habit to pull the battery weekly to clear cache, and free up memory. I use "softreset" to do it. check it out here:

Welcome 2 CB. Don't get frustrated so quick. You have to treat your BB like a new born baby... Try doing a soft reset... If not, reinstalling the OS.

Hello and welcome to CB. You will love your berry. And to answer your question about should you have to pull on a new phone. It's just something that seems to make berrys very happy. Like many of the posters on here I do a pull about once a week and I seem to avoid any issues with my berry.

A soft reset does not delete anything. It basicaly resets your memory. Take a look at maximising memory on this forum. Your memory should be atlest 10 kb to work properly.
