Hello. I am a new blackberry owner!!! YAY me!! I have a question!!
My husband and I just got the 8830 World Phone yesterday, and when he gets a bbmessage or new e-mail his indicator light flashes red. When I get a bbmessage, I don't get a light at all...he doesn't have bbalerts either. Can someone help me figure this out please!!?!?! :confused:
First, make sure you are in a profile that has settings to alert you via LED of new BBM messages such as the Normal profile. If you are sure you are in a profile that has LED alerts enabled, check their settings. Here is a link explaining how to edit profiles.

You want to check that Messenger is set for an LED alert.
If none of those work, try a battery pull. With your phone on, remove the battery for 30 seconds, then put it back in.

I tried doing this, and there was not option to make the light flash red. I can only chose to make it flash, and vibrate....and it's not even vibrating. I chose to do the off Profile since I am at work. Any more advice or tips?
You cannot actually assign colors for the LED on a BB. Setting LED notification to Flashing, under Repeat Notification, will enable an LED notification for the event.
