New user and new user question.

I'm with verizon and finally broke down and got a pearl, needed more than a phone and they made an offer I couldn't refuse. So it'll be here tomorrow and I know this is a dumb question, but how do I transfer my contacts from my env to my 8130. I can pull them off my env with bitpim and make somewhat of a text file, can I cut and paste? or is there an easier way? I've got about 200 to transfer...
I can't believe I waited this long to get one, and I'm having a hard time waiting for it to get here. I can already see with everything out there, there's no going back to a regular phone..

Not sure. Just wanted to say I too ditched the env for a pearl. Very very wise! You will love it! Good luck. :)

I'd take the enV and the Pearl to your local Verizon Wireless store. They'll transfer the contacts for you, and in my experience, free of charge.

Yep, when transferring from reg phone to BB, Kristin's suggestion is best bet.

I had to get away from the regular phones, I went through the whole line up and couldn't find anything that worked for everything I needed. Might have saved a couple $$ if I would have done this sooner,,,,, then again, Ive already got a pack of screen protectors and a bigger battery on order and I haven't even got it in my hands yet. I can definitely see with all the stuff out there for these that it'll be a quick addiction. :D

you know what is real easy.......
when you install the disc
you can transfer everything from the email
to your phone.
eg. i use yahoo so it transfered everything from my yahoo
contacts to my phone. real easy!!

Dang compared to my env this thing is freakin tiny. Happily charging and starting the esn swap, add a couple beers and this is the perfect day!!

I gotta say this is the nicest forum I have ever seen.

Had to go to a corp vzw store to get my contacts tranferred and they installed a program called " cellebrite phonebook client " to use there little contact tranfer machine. I'm gonna load the os on my laptop tonight to get the preloaded pics and stuff i'll never use off and i'll try to get that off also. Unfortunately, I had to sync to my outlook, get the contacts from the phone to outlook and reedit all 100+ to get the emails and addresses added, the vzw program only does #'s. All is good now that I can actually sync to my pc at home and do everything through outlook.

Thanks again to everyone, this place has saved alot of frustration already.
