First let me say thanks for the help and this fine site!
I do have some questions and did some searching with no luck.
    I have a Curve 8310:
    1. Does the GPS work without paying for Telenav? I have Google maps installed. Does the GPS work automatic with GM?
    2. Can I install DM say, 4.5 without installing 4.3?
Do I have to reinstall Roxio media again as it already came with the initial DM set up disk?
    3. I have looked and looked but cannot find the vendor XML. Does this only show up when I download a new DM?
    4. What is the easiest way to figure my Curves memory?
    Thanks!

    1) Yes, on AT&T is does
    2) You can download a fresh 4.5 from RIM. I'm not sure if AT&T's download page has DM 4.5
    3) No, not the DM, the device software.... I'm not aware of a vendor.xml for the DM but I could be (very) wrong about that
    4) I'm not sure what you're asking, sorry

    1) Yes, GPS will work with Google Maps, go to Options, Advanced Options> GPS> hit menu> select Refresh. Then go to GM and it should work.

    2) Yes, install DM 4.5 any time.

    3) Vendor.xml is in the device OS, not DM.

    4) Not sure what you're asking, to get the most out of it, read this -

To find out what your available memory is, go to Options> Status> File Free.

    Thanks guys

So I'm downloading DM 4.3 right now. Should I go ahead and get 4.5 while I'm at it?

As far as free memory, is there a way to convert free file to Mega bytes?

So I got DM v4.5 finally installed! (took forever!)

Does each newer version "erase" the older versions/

I'm going to try the 4.2 os upgrade in the Curve forum.

Where exactly is the vendor.xml? My C file only shows something like" /c/programs/RIM it does not show anything stating "commonfiles" or again am I looking in the wrong spot?
    EDIT
Never mind found the common files!!

The vendor file is what tells your BB which themes should be installed on your berry.

Info on how to add the carrier themes can be found here.
