Same here. Came from a 8703 to the 8830. The other thing you have to get used to is the keyboard. The buttons are a little closer together but other than that, the slimness.... You will fall in love with!

I have an 8703e and love my keyboard so seeing you made the transition to the 8830, how do you like the keyboard on this device? It is just as good or better? Do you like the trackball better as well? Only asking because by the end of the year I'm looking to get another device. Not sure which model yet but I want one that has a little bit of everything or as much as I can get in on a device. I was hoping for the 9 series but who knows when that will ever get on the market. Everything takes forever.

I do like the trackball better. Also, the keys are a little closer together, so it took a a day or two to get used to that. I love the slimness of the 8830. Since i got it, I get so many compliments, and questions about...most people can't believe its a BB. Overall I give it 2 BIG thumbs up!
I joined up because im looking to get a blackberry. I hate my stupid sidekick III and i think it pales in comparison to Blackberrys and the Helio Ocean. Im looking at the Curve and i heard rumours that Tmo may get it on Sept 24 with WiFi. Should I wait for that or get an unlocked one? thanks for any help and i hope to enjoy and be active in this community.
I would wait for the Tmobile Curve on the 24th. I have read a few posts about Tmo having issues with support on unlocked Curves. If you purchase it from them and you have any issues, it becomes their issue too.
i'm new to this and wanted to know about messenger. If you delete someone from your contacts can they see and also if someone deletes you from their list are they automatically deleted?
