While logged in, scroll to the bottom of a thread and, under "Posting Rules" make sure that "Smiles" are turned "On" I don't know what the default is, it may be "off." Once you change it, it remains sticky to your profile preferences.
Heck I didn't even think of going to crackberry straight from my phone.
Really easy to do with the CrackBerry launcher free in the app store. Allows navigation and ready access with a click or two. CrackBerry Launcher - Communication & Internet BlackBerry Apps - Crackberry BlackBerry Apps Store That is my far and away favored way to surf the forums. :)
