Hey I'm a guy from london & new to bb & got a problem already !!! Ahhhh
My bb is showing I got a message but I've checked everything & I don't help me!! I know it can be sorted co I did have a bb for about 2mnths back when the 8100 was new & I remember fixin it but don't know how I did it!

Are you using Facebook or any of the other social Apps? BB messenger will show as a message too. i'd check each one and if thats not the problem then I'd try a battery pull.

an incoming call will show an envelope icon too

I've only seen missed calls show up as a message . go to your message list and press "u" and see if it takes you to the unread message .
