I just recently purchased my first BB. I am a total newbie and i have the verizon version of the curve and i have no idea how to connect to anything other than what the verizon browser has to offer. I was looking for a search bar to actually search the web. Any suggestions?

In your browser, hit the BB key, scroll to "Go To" and you can type in web addresses or use the search. Default search engine is set to Google I believe.

    Welcome to CB.

Also, try out http://operamini.com for another browser which I feel is easier to use than the BB browser. You can go to that website on your phone for OTA (over the air) download.

Also while in your browser , hit he BB key, goto options > browser configuration. Change your home page to wap.google.com and the startpage to either bookmarks page or home page. I cannot stand that fugly vzw home page.

I have the basic 10mb 30$ web package. I visited youtube when i was on my opera mini browser and it told me i should upgrade to the unlimited package. I don't use the internet but maybe an hour a day on my phone. I was wondering if i would run into an over usage charge?

The $30 in unlimited. I believe the $25 package (which is getting phased out) is limited to 10 MB.

    Hello MLorenson,

I lurked on Crackberry.com for close to a year and then I joined the addicts in July. I also check out crackberry on the mobile site wap.crackberry.com or in my case I have the Crackberry launcher as an icon. BlackBerry 101: The CrackBerry.com Desktop Launcher | CrackBerry.com

Just last night on the home page of the CB wap page I see links to a whole bunch of WAP sites, after all this time I hadn't seen that yet. This is the page I'm talking about. http://wap.crackberry.com/main.html

    Anyways... here's my spiel...
