I just ordered my BB 8300 and it should deliver on Tuesday! I want to be able to store music in it for my daliy commute and to use at the gym, but I forgot to order a memory card. Is it necessary to get one at this point, or can I live without one for a few weeks, maybe months?
I definitely plan on getting one at some point, most likely from Amazon. I usually like to wait until I have a few things on my list (books, etc.) and purchase them together to save on shipping. Can I survive for a few weeks without a memory card -- meaning can I play music, store photos, and maintain maximum BB functionality -- or do I need to get one ASAP?
I have BB 2wks now. I went one week without a memory card and then realised tht if I wanted music other than a few 30secs ringtones I wud need a memory card.
Best would be for you to get one since you want music for your commute etc.

I would agree first thing I did when I got my BB I purchased a mini SD card
Makes my device very versatile indeed
Don't confuse the miniSD with the microSD. They're two different cards and the miniSD won't fit in the BB. It's a microSD. I realize it may just be a typo but would hate to have someone purchase a miniSD because they read this thread.
I just bought (2) 2GB PNY micro SD cards from Comp USA for $20 each on sale. Great deal!!! Now I'm waiting for the prices to drop on the 4GB cards. I just got my BB Curve a little over a week ago and I love it!!! Loaded music, pix, videos and almost 400 contacts and info already and there's still a lot of memory left on my 2GB card.
I read on the blackberry website that the current BB's only support up to 2G microSD cards. Has anyone tried using a 4G card in their curve? If so what brand?
