Hey everyone! I'm new to this site, my name is Russ. I just bought a BB Storm 9530 from Verizon a few days ago and found this site with help of some of my buddies that have BB's as well. There seems to be a LOT of info on this site so I will probably be a regular here.

I'm currently trying to update my Storm and did some research as to which firmware to update to. I just downloaded .132 and I will give that a shot. Anything is better than .75 right?

I also downloaded the How-To for installing new OS software, seems complicated. What are the basics and what should I look out for as far as install problems? Is it a simple back-up and install process?

Also, battery life sucks. Anything I can do or any apps that can help that?

As for the upgrade procedure, it seems daunting at first, but it's actually quite easy once you get into it, and you'll be doing it like a pro in no time.

As for the battery life, it varies depending on usage and the device. There are no apps to help with this.
