Welcome to the BlackBerry family! I have a 9900 as well and I absolutely love the device. It is the best phone I've ever owned to date (IMHO).

Welcome to the BB addiction. The pain lessens with time as the joy of owning such a fine device increases. The 9900 was my second choice but form factor kept me on the 9810. Enjoy your phone and the whole BB experience.
