Just got to know frm surfing the net that the new bold 9700 is out and wish to know what is the main difference between the new bold 9700 and 9000 please? thanks

The main difference...the size. The 9700 pretty much the size of the Curve line of phones.

But other differences include:
Higher res screen 480x360 vs 480x320 on 9000. But smaller screen in physical size.
Better camera. 3.2MP vs 2.0MP
Touchpad vs Trackball

Ya pretty much the same (if you are running 5.0 on the 9000). They use the same processor as well.

oh, i see, then is there any point in getting this new bold 9700 since the main diff is only the track pad and better res screen .cheers

I'm waiting for the 9700 to upgrade to a BB personally. Main reason (aside from being the cool guy with the new gadget) is the trackpad, I've heard a TON of horror stories about the trackball going bad on all makes of phones, not just BB.

agree that the track ball traps dirt and that it is rather tough to clean and maintain the sensitivity.cheers
