Just bought used berry
Hey I just bought a used blackberry pearl 8100 from craigslist. I upped to the latest firmware. The only problem I have is the previous owners email accounts are still active on the phone. I was wondering how to remove them because when I go to setup email accounts I have to login. And I cannot created a new email to login with since my Pin already has an email attached. How do I get rid of these accounts? I constantly get hit with Junkmail

Go to Options>Security Options>General Settings>press Menu>Wipe Handheld.

Wiping the device will not remove the email accounts... but I don't remember what options you need to get into to find them... sorry, but hopefully someone else will chime in soon with the solution.

Ideally you should contact the seller and have them contact the carrier to have the pin released from their blackberry internet service account.
You could contact the carrier yourself but oftentimes they prefer to deal with the account holder.
Good luck :)

Yeah, you need to have the PIN removed.

Contact the previous owner and let him/her know what's going on. They need to contact the service provider about that sort of email account.
PS: Welcome to CB.

Yea I wiped the phone when I first got it, it got rid of his address book but the emails still remained.

Turns out the previous owner did not use email, so it was blocked. Therefore he did not get these messages. I was wondering if theres anyway to block these three email accounts. I will settle for not being able to check my own email until i get the thunder, but I don't want this other guys email eating up my bandwidth.

If you have the previous owner call his service & release the pin, it should solve the problem.
