Hello there everyone. I'll be brief as I can not to waste your time, and any help you might have would be appreciated.

1) I'm Irish and have had a Blackberry Storm since first release on Vodafone here . I'm assuming it's a Storm 9500 I have, but am not sure and was wondering how I would confirm this.
2) Would it matter where I have the Storm 9500 or the 9550 or whichever in between in regards to hacking it?
3) If anyone could point me in the direction of the forum that could and would answer these questions I'd be very grateful.

Most likely you have a 9500, but you might have a 9530 (the North American release), the 9550, is the North American release of the Storm2 (the Euro model being the 9520). The Storm have a separate button bar, the Storm2 have an integrated button bar that is actually part of the glass screen. Otherwise the models 9500 to 9530 and 9520 to 9550 are identical to each other with 1 exception. The 9530 & 9550 have the CDMA radios and the 9500 & 9520 do, BUT on the GSM side (what you need) they are identical. Specs wise, the Storm2 is a major upgrade to the original storm. The Storm2 adds, twice the app memory 256MBs, twice the storage mem, 2GBs, Wifi, and the screen click mechanism is MUCH improved.

I never knew that you could get Storms with wi-fi. If I'd known that one was in the pipeline I wouldn't have bothered with a Nokia N97 (horrifically bad, only decent thing is the 32gb of internal memory and 16gb on external storage).

The button bar is separate on my Storm, as in they're actually physically buttons, not just part of the glass screen. So I have a Storm 1, I think it's either a 9500 or 9520.

Remove the battery and look at the sticker behind it, the model number will be shown there...

Yea it's a Storm1, so it's the 9500 or the 9530, probably the 9500. Check the tag like SD said, it'll say for sure.
