I should have my Blackberry Curve in 5 days and I couldn't be more excited. I love my iPhone and all but I need something that can handle email like a champion. Plus I can still use it as an iPod Touch...which isnt a bad deal.
I decided on getting a curve. Got it used, but it allows me to not have to buy into a new 2 year contract versus something like the Bold...which is what I really wanted, but having no blackberry experience whatsoever I figure this is a good step before I bump my contract and my data package.
I spoke with a rep at ATT and she said that since I was buying a phone without contract I can run my blackberry off of my iPhone 1st gen. data package ($20 data plus text messaging). Is that true or will I have to step up to the (Blackberry $30 data plus $20 for unlimited texting). She mentioned that if I didnt want enterprise email I should be good to just SIM swap. I don't need enterprise email...I just need to have it fetch emails from my 3 POP accounts for work.
I'm already addicted and I don't even have my phone yet. Plus I have to wait till BeckyMae is accepting orders again to turn this curve into some sort of sparkly neon color (green or blue).
I'm super pumped about this. I keep checking USPS to see if its been processed yet. I might get it earlier than expected its shipping from closer than I thought.
We will see. I'm always open to trying new devices. The lack of mac connectivity is the only reason that I really put off trying a blackberry out. I had a treo before my iPhone. I heard there is a mac desktop manager right around the corner so I am holding my breath for that to push me even further into the blackberry addiction.

PocketMac is wonderful, and syncs beautifully with bb and mac. I don't know any better...as I have not used the windows based sync programs...so for my needs, it is more than sufficient.
