Some might remember that I was very unhappy with my BlackBerry a few months ago.

I had bought a Z10 (now given away) and faced many issues. The device wouldn't update beyond an outdated version of 10.1, it couldn't sync with my Mac (BlackBerry Link claimed I didn't have any contacts or calendars of my Mac), and it couldn't sync with iCloud.

After getting sick with my (new for me) iPhone 4S (8 GB and lots of money, iPhone 5 is even more ridiculously expensive) I bought another Z10 and started again.

This time the phone updated the OS to a current 10.2. I was told a few months ago that the reason my phone didn't update to beyond 10.1 was because I didn't put a SIM card in but this new phone did update without a SIM card. BlackBerry Link also doesn't complain any more about missing contacts and calendars on my Mac, it just doesn't sync them. And syncing with iCloud works, but only emails and contacts, not calendars (which the OS claims I have to try again and again and again).

I went shopping in BlackBerry World and found a very good selection of apps including some of my favourite's from the iOS world. So I am relatively happy now with the Z10 and will start using it as my main phone as soon as I am done with my current audiobook on my iPhone.

Now, one thing remains: How can I sync my calendars? I don't care whether the iCloud calendars syncs with BB or the other way around. Is there a wa to subscribe to calendars in the BB cloud?

    Welcome back to CrackBerry!

Unfortunately I can't offer you any help on the iCloud calendar sync, but I hope another member has some help for you and you continue to enjoy your new Z10.

Hello and welcome! For your contacts I can make a couple of suggestions. BB Link should have a device switch option which should be able to do it, also your mobile carrier might have a special machine which is called a cellbright machine which can sync the contacts for you. They will usually have a small charge to do this. My carrier does it for free, but I have seem some charge 5, 10 or 15 dollars to do it.

    I also found this app.....

    Welcome back!

I'm noticing that BlackBerry is getting better nearly every week. New apps, updates, etc.
