kcnorton. I think Docs2Go is limited to the 4.5 OS or higher. And AT&T has only released the 4.2 OS for the 8310's (what i started with on my 8310). You can update to the 4.5 OS via the instructions in the curve forum.

This will not only get your Docs2Go but also enable your cam in your BB to act as a video cam also (something else the 4.2 OS couldn't do).

Hi kcnorton. As the others have said a third party application is required to view the files you described if they are stored on your media card. Docs2go is a neat application and the standard version comes free with the upgrade to OS 4.5.

Everyone has mentioned Docs2go as its free in the OS 4.5 bundle. If you either don't have or don't want to upgrade to 4.5 then there are other third party apps you could look at , EOffice from dynoplex being one but you will have to pay for it.

Devnull has provided a link to upgrade your OS to 4.5. Now whilst upgrading is reasonably straight forward its important to stress that the instructions must be followed correctly. If you are new to BB's then you may prefer to wait and read up first on the process and become more comfortable with your berry.

If you decided to go ahead then you just need to make sure that the Docs2go check box is ticked in application loader during the OS upgrade process. The standard version offers word and powerpoint support and excel support once you have registered the product. Open up word2go and press menu and register. Fill in your details as required. Whilst still in word2go press menu again and " check for updates" . Agree to instal the chosen update and you will receice sheets2go.

Hope that makes sense. If you need anything else feel free to PM me.
