Hi everyone!!
Hi there!
I am a completely new to this forum and Blackberrys in general. Well, I don't really own a blackberry now but a can purchase one through my employer from Cingular (8700c) if I want to. My needs for this device are: email from work/friends (while I am on vacation too - Europe, Middle East... I like to travel a lot! :o ), websurfing (of course!!) and international voice (a little not a lot usually less than 400 min/mo). Do you think the 8700c will be a good device to pick up? Oh, btw... the 8700c is $99.00.
I have been looking at your site some and man... what a lot of info!!! I don't know where to start! I'm feeling a little overwhelmed here. Please help before I pull the trigger....(I mean buy this thing...ha! ha! :) )

Welcome to the addiction!
The 8700 series would be an excellant choice. But, since am already an addict, let me say this, the 8800 is also released (on some carriers) or about to be released. So, that might also be another one you might want to consider...

Thanks Navilyn!!
I have also looked at the 8800 as well. The only problem is that I will have to pay $299 for that one :( ! I don't know if it will be worth the extra $$. Btw, if I get the 8700c can I buy a 8800 at a later date if I find out that I like it better? Is the download speed greater on the 8800? Sorry about all the questions but I really don't know much about BBs.
Thanks,
Ron

You can always upgrade later, but then it may cost you more. Depending on how your contract is. I would suggest getting the 8800 if you want to have MP3's and Movies on your BB when you travel. It also has built-in GPS in case you need that function when traveling. Now download speeds are the same with both devices.
And.... Welcome to CrackBerry!

Welcome....
First of all you couldnt get any better advice from Nav and Kasper....
But as an 8700 user, i couldnt recoomend it anymore than i do, however i also think the 8800 is definately worth it. Why not make your first BB, the best at present....Alternatively the 8300 Series (just to confuse you) will be out later in the year....
Either way make the jump to BB and newbies are always welcome here...Ask away, you are only feeding everyones addiction....
