Hi All,

Have been a bit of a lurker on here for a while trying to research which model was for me and the advantages of having a BB.

I have now just taken delivery of a BB 8310 Curve on T-Mobile! So far it has been a doddle to set up with hotmail, AOL and local home email. I'm very much looking forward to browsing more of the forums and hopefully making good use of BB messenger as I know noone with a BB lol.

If anyone has any usefull newbie tips please let me know!

One thing that has been bugging me is that I cannot for the life of me install the facebook app. Just keep getting the same message about clicking an yellox box at the top?? did a search and it seems others have the same problem but noone has managed to figure out why??

I didn't i'm afraid. It appears it's quite a wide spread problem.

I tried the link you gave me but there wasnt an option for facebook let alone any options at all.

I'll keep on trying though.

I'm a fellow Brit - and about 48 hours ahead of you in getting the same phone! I went with an O2 contract, however.

I can confirm that the natives around here seem to be very friendly and very helpful. Be careful about the water though.

The only problem I've encountered with the 8310 so far is trying to install Opera Mini - reputed to be a good browser. Still fighting that one.

Im in high wycombe in bucks. Whats opera mini??

BB's seem to be the best things since sliced bread although alittle disappointed on the delay with BIS. Emails seem to come through around 10-15 mins after being sent....

Condor - what exactly won't work for you. I had a few problems with OpMi that all got sorted out; I'm choc full of answers!
