Hi everyone. Im glad that there's still a place where man can get some help with BB devices.
Some time ago I read that Blackberry is officially dead and that pushed me to a decission to buy a "good-bye handsets". So I'm happy owner of BB Bold 9790 which i owned "ages ago (still find it the best OS7 device ) and I also bought BB Passport in mint condition for only €20 I must admit its a brilliant phone i really love it!.. so once again hi everyone and nice to be here

Yes, so far so good. I use it mostly on 3G/2G. T-mobile is about to shut off 3G on early 2023, other network I'm on -Plus GSM not before 2027. So for time beeing I'm enjoying my new passort. The only thing I have observed is that GPS takes some time to find the position, and google maps are no longer working. Hopefully I installed 2 apps i use for navigation and both are working great

What navigation apps are you using? I'm always on the lookout for those. Thanks in advance!

Where are you from Paul? It might not be an option for you as it is polish apk for android named Yanosik. However maps have been extended and cover most of Europe. I tried few versions and found one that works, and I also patched it. Second app is well known to you (I asumme) MagicEarth

Thanks gone66, I'm from Canada. I've got Magic Earth and it's pretty good but it loads slowly and the old Navmii had features that Magic earth didn't. I'll check out Yanosik anyway because I like maps anyway.

I've never used Google Maps! (on this phone), not really.

I don't actually know what 'patching' is.
