want to say hello to everyone. i just mad the move from the treo 755P sprint to the blackberry 8330 curve.this my first blackberry ever. i been on here reading for about a week as a guest. man theres alot to do with the bb. i have a few question's but the one that got me stuck is the desktop manager software? i had the treo desktop software were you put all contacts, calender, media, etc. then i would sync to my phone when i connected the phone. i was asking my sister she told me it's not the same way with bb. she told me to use outlook. i have never used outlook ever either..lol. do anyone know can i use yahoo, gmail or aol to sync? which is better and easier? again thanks in advance for the help.
also im on sero plan with sprint do i need to get the bb plan and which one.

    Welcome to Crackberry!!

If you use desktop manager 4.3 you can sync to yahoo. Or if you use gmail that will sync to outlook which will sync to your berry. Outlook is really similar to palm desktop if that's what you're used to. Also, if you put the palm CD back into your computer it will give you the option to sync directly to outlook so you won't loose any of your palm info.

I'm not sure about sprint's plans, but you definitely need a blackberry plan to access data from the device. I think sprint's plan is something like $30/month

Outlook express is a little different than outlook. Outlook express is the free version that comes installed on any windows computer. Outlook is one that you have to pay for. Outlook express will sync only your contacts. If you don't have outlook, you could download the free trial just to get your palm synced over, or you could just use something like yahoo. As far as I understand it, yahoo sync bypasses outlook altogether.

Also, if you don't have outlook you can use the switch device wizard to pull all the info from the palm and put it on the blackberry

Have a question, does anyone know how to put the memory card door back on. I tried to put in a memory card and the door came off the hinges...AT&T wants $309.00 to repair it.

Hello, I had the same problem with the last pearl I had. I kinda just played with it until I got it back in place. You have to look for the little holes and put the hinges back inside.

You have to slide the memory card down into the door with it open, and then shut and lock it. Welcome to CRACKberry. Have fun and enjoy!!
