Hello everyone, I've made the jump to the Z10 which I just got today finally switching from my iPhone 5s. I've tried all the platforms except blackberry and realized I had never given blackberry the chance which im doing now. So far, it different from anything I've used so far and I'm enjoying the device for the 3 hours so far I've had it. So hello again, and I'll give my own thoughts in a week or so.

Had features like OTA backups and such on the older OS, lots of us hoping that comes back. Right now there's a ton of stuff you could do with it. Locate your phone with the GPS, enable the sound, wipe the data and more. Check the link and sign in from a browser and you'll see the extra features in the browser version.

Not bad, exactly but you are definitely going to be limited. VERY limited.

Try an over the air update but if that doesn't work load the latest leak via an autoloader. You can detailed instructions via crackberry.

You'll want to do it sooner rather than later because an autoloader will start you from scratch.

I'd suggest before thinking about leaks etc.... open up settings and scroll down to software updates. Sometimes carriers don't get the notification to you until well after the update is released. Happened to me twice and I'm with Rogers. (biggest carrier in Canada)

Even if you don't get 10.2.1 right away, you have a lot to get familiar with anyways. Once you get to the point you don't have to think about your next move.... the real fun begins. Enjoy...

Hmm it's not bad it just means that your experience will be a lot better when you eventually get 10.2.1.x

I don't recommend installing leaks, BTW.

I found that I could get official over-the-air updates quicker when I took out my SIM and tried the update process that way, but then my Z10 is unlocked.

One of the great things is when your phone is on silent and you can make it ring loudly so you can find it - a godsend.

The USA And I'm on T-Mobile. I spoke to customer care because I tried everything I saw here and on blackberry link but it still didn't appear for the update. I just didn't try the leak as this is my first blackberry device and I dint want to risk bricking it if I did something wrong. The gentlemen seemed well informed, he said "if you don't have the update yet, don't worry, we're releasing it in waves according to the devices imei number. You will get it, the main reason for this is to prevent any extra stress on the servers"
