It has been a while, and I have returned to the original smart phone. I used to have a Bold 9000 back in 2008-2010, and then I reluctantly went over to the iOS side, mainly due to the better browsing experience and after being let down by the promises of the Torch. I lost my way and my confidence in BB. I scooped up a shiny iPhone 4, and for a few years was impressed with the sharper camera, as well as the better browsing... but I still missed many functions of my Bold 9000.

Last year I upgraded to an iPhone 5s, and several months prior to the iPhone 5s, I sent a few emails to BB's marketing department about creating a challenge whereby I could switch my iPhone for a Z30. I never received a reply, but several months later saw the DaddyDoes.com Z30 challenge...

Present day, I purchased a shiny new Z30 as the price was right! $291 CDN about $210 USD) for the global model, and I am currently switching over with the android porting, as well as successfully transferring my iMessages/sms/text messages from my iPhone 5s to my new Z30.

Gotta say this is the BB sleeper phone that everyone has missed! I'll be posting a detailed tutorial on how to transfer the iMessage / SMS / Text Messages from iOS to BB10 in a week or two.

Welcome back. The 9000 was my first BB phone. Had most models since then. Loving the Z30 from day 1. Tried Classic but went back to the Z30 again. If your experience is half so good as mine you will find more and more to enjoy as the days pass.

I made the move back to BlackBerry when the Z10 was released and have since upgraded to the Z30. Great device and great OS. You'll definitely enjoy this phone!

A new BlackBerry fan here. When my iPhone 5 had the screen come loose even though it was in pristine condition, I bought an unlocked z 30 on amazon. This phone is fabulous! I had previously ruined my z 10 with a broken sim card adapter so decided to try the z30. Love it!
