Happy anniversary Crackberry!
(Ok I know I'm a day late, but work with me here )

Jan 2, 2008 I joined the most knowledgeable and helpful BlackBerry forum on the internet. I had just received my first BlackBerry for Christmas (Curve 8310) and it was my first smart phone. There was quite a learning curve and I'm so thankful for this community assisting me during that transition.

Since joining I've owned an 8310, 9810, Q10 & a Z30.

I've made 3665 posts, given out 9859 likes and received 3275 likes, a few infractions and a ban or two

What I'm most grateful for are the incredible and long lasting friendships I've formed.

I've survived cancer, had brain surgery, traveled to Cambodia, & watched my children graduate high school.

I'm looking forward to more BlackBerry devices, more leaks, and most of all more friends.

I hope you will come here to celebrate your anniversary and share your story.

This is a great feel good thread! Thanks for starting it!

I never gave my CB registration date a thought until now. Holy crap, June 22, 2008 (Pearl 8100 was my first ever BlackBerry)! Guess I'll be celebrating 7 years as a crackhead in 2015 as well!

I don't have nearly as many posts or likes as moody, but as a long time lurker, I've seen how CB has evolved and have ridden the highs and lows. The lowest point for me had to be the start of 2012 where I was seriously contemplating moving off of BlackBerry and going to an iPhone. But I stayed true to my trusty 9900 at the time and anxiously waited for the release of the Z10 and BB10 OS. I'm so glad I did as I seem to fall in love with BlackBerry all over again everytime I pick up a new device -- Z10 to Q10 to Q5 to Z30 and now with the incredible Passport. Classic, you're next!

CB definitely isn't the same place it was 7 years ago. With success comes changes and the need to constantly innovate and grow the product (aka Mobile Nations) so I accept that CB no longer has that close knit, grassroots feel that it once has. And while Bla1ze has done an exceptional job as EIC, you can't deny the fact that CB lost a huge part of its identity when Kevin moved on to bigger things. And that's not a knock on Bla1ze, but more of a testament of Kevin's big personality and positive influence he had on the BlackBerry Internet mindshare.

Nonetheless, in the face of all the changes, CB remains my go-to source for all things BlackBerry-related. The CB10 app is a staple on all my BB10 devices and is consistently the only active frame I ever keep open.

So Happy Anniversary, moody! And thanks for sharing your CB experience!

I am so glad you were able to withstand the iPhone temptation

Isn't it amazing at what we go through and how much our phones are a part of our memories.

About two months after I got my 8310 I started chemotherapy. I remember sitting in the infusion suite, receiving tons of text messages of encouragement and thinking how cool it was to have a full keyboard to respond with. LoL

With regards to Kevin, I really can't say as I never interacted with him. Perhaps it was a "timing" issue as I didn't get real involved here until towards the end of his tenure.

But Bla1ze seems to enjoy interacting w/ members on several levels. We are blessed to have him as our EIC

Well, Congratulations guys 'n Gals! My Crackberry anniversary is 15/7/2011 but my 20 year wedding anniversary is coming up on the 12th February. Good Lord, has she put up with my crap for that long???

Today/tomorrow is my anniversary. Feb 2nd. Ground Hog Day. And sometimes it sure feels that way in the forums, doesn't it?
