The Media Manager shows there is nothing on my Media Card. I had a similar problem yesterday with a ringtone (which is on my BB but still not showing up on MM). Any solution?

Media Manager is a poor solution for most Media Card purposes. You can enable Mass Storage Mode and drag and drop ringtones, pictures, music, and videos directly to your device. First, do a battery pull. Then try this.
Here're the settings:
Status/Options/Media Card
Media Card Support: On
Encryption Mode: your choice
Mass Storage Mode Support: On
Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode When Connected: Prompt
Plug the BB into a USB port, answer Yes to the prompt, and the blackberry Media card will show up as a disk drive in My Computer. Then you can drag and drop.
Only pictures, video, ringtones, and music can be stored on and accessed from the Media card. (That's why it's called a Media Card.) You can use the media card like a usb disk to store other files with Mass storage mode, but you can't access those files from the blackberry without 3rd party software.
JeffH, you are my hero. Is there anything you don't know about Blackberry's ? Each and every post I have seen from you has been extreemly informative!! You and people like you are why I LOVE this site. Thanks, and keep it up!!
You're welcome. I'm glad to help. I learn something here just about every day, and enjoy the interaction.
That doesn't work...
Maybe I just don't get it..
Thanks for trying...
Hero status only lasts until the next wrong answer! hehe! Oh well...
Are you getting an error message? If so, what? Does Media Manager recognize your card, but show nothing on it, or does it say you don't have a card installed?
Did you format the card in the BB? What formatted capacity did it show?
I'm sure we can figure this out. We're not giving up yet.
Jeff - I agree. I love your answers and you're smart on the BB Curve. Plus you have the same model I do, so I learn and/or am reminded for my own. Is there another place to learn about BB Curve? Thanks. CG
There's an 83xx forum. That'd be a good place to watch, if you have an 8330 Curve. I read them all, not just my 8830, because there's so much commonality to the problems and solutions.
