    The message icon won't go away and ive doublechecked there r no new msgs. Is there a way reset the phone? Also I had installed but then deleted todomatrix but still see options for it in other applications... Used to the treo so this is all new

    Do a battery pull. Alternatively, go to messages / the date line / menu / mark all as read...

    Also check "saved messages." From your Messages list hit the menu key and select "view saved messages." Mark all those read as well.
