Hi
my name is Kenzy, 30yrs and i'm come from Lyon in France.
I discovered this brand in 2007 I'm started with the BlackBerry Pearl 8100, then I had the Storm 1, then Bold 9700, the Torch 1, a Bold 9900 and the Passport. Caught up in nostalgic thoughts I decided to treat myself to the classic BlackBerry. I switched a lot between iPhone and Blackberry, today I use both.
I'm very sad that Blackberry didn't survive because their phone was good quality, BB OS and autonomy was perfection, what they lacked in my opinion was an opening for the general public with a real application catalog, what could have saved them, that's just my opinion.

Have a nice day !
Welcome to CrackBerry.....
Yes BBOS and those earlier days were great times. In the end Microsoft couldn't make a go of it and they spent 10's of billions. BlackBerry needed to have made the switch to a modern OS... back when iOS and Android hit the market. And maybe that would have gotten them the developer userbase needed to support consumers. But in the in I doubt they could have kept up with the bigger players. In the end it was too little, too late.
Passport is a great phone for it's time, but for MOST apps are key to today's usages. But you'll find many here still rocking their Passports, either as a 2nd devices or even as a primary device - as they needs are different.
