I'm a student involved with a student run organization and I'm considering a BlackBerry when my current contract is up. My main email is my school account, which conveniently (or possibly now inconveniently) is a Google service/domain. My address is [email protected] but it uses the regular Gmail server and settings. I recently just linked it up to to MS Outlook as a "Gmail account" using Gmail instructions provided by Google and it worked perfectly fine.

My question is push email. Could I really not be able to use my account with the stock BB email and get push notifications? Is the Gmail app the only solution? I've never owned a BB before so I'm in foreign territory right now...n00bland

EDIT: it doesn't help when you Google stuff from 07, I think I got my answer.

Unless the school blocks access, you should be good to go.
