    All,

Maybe I need to get another release of the Desktop Manager? I have installed 4.6 - trying to sync with an 8820.

The calendar is the major hangup - takes forever - and is inconsistent.

Do I need to verify that I am working on compatible release levels of the Blackberry OS and Device Manager? If so - how do I verify?

    THanks!

    Chris

Another newbie here. I have an 8820 also, running 4.5.0.81 with DM version 4.6 with no problems. Is it Outlook calendar having sync problems ?

How do I determine my OS level? The sync is having some problems - mainly inconsistencies around what's been synced, and what hasnt. Appointments are being pulled to the device over and over. And it's REALLY slow.

Go to options then about. The first screen will show OS version where it says platform.

    OK - I'm on v 4.2.2.169 (Platform 2.4.0.67).

My gut tells me I need to update that somehow?

I would but it's not simple. Best advice I can give is to follow instructions in this thread.

Blackberry Help and Discussion forums/Blackberry 8800 8820. Sticky really knows his stuff.

    If I knew how to insert a link I would.(still a newbie)

I found to speed up the desktop manager...I am using 4.6....for some odd reason you need to minimize it or make it the non-active window while it syncs. Works much much faster for some reason. It might sound crazy but try it. Please post your findings.

Hey Chris - welcome to the CB family. Wish I could help, but I don't have problems with DM, and I'm on 4.6!
