what icon is it? Icons are linked to programs. You can't just delete it. You would have to remove the application.
I would like to delete my current gmail(blackberry default) icon since I was able to load a google mail icon.
Just wondering if it is possible
how do you get a google mail icon?
Do you mean the BIS account icon. Are you using the Gmail program for blackberrys? If you are talking about the icon that shows up for each BIS account, just log into BIS and delete the account. The icon should go with it. Then you can use the gmail app.
click your "options" icon, then click "advance options" then click "applications" then click delete and confirm
I have an icon for rueters.com that I can't delete. I have check the applications menu and I can't find it and I tried going to the desktop manager and trying to delete it that way, but no go.
Any ideas??
Anyone???
Bueller???LOL
Ruin2,
I see you have Verizon as well. Just click on this link https://bis.na.blackberry.com/html?brand=vzw&locale=en
Sign in there and go to your gmail account and select delete and it will be deleted from your blackberry.
By the way, welcome to the forum. Hope you enjoy your stay here.

I deleted a Yahoo mail account but the icon didn't go away...any suggestions?
How did you delete it? Options-----> Advanced Options???
Went to the Email Setup icon and chose the Delete option...
hmm have you tried hiding it?
Maybe this will help:::
Go to Options -> Advanced Options -> Service Book -> look for the email account that you have already removed and delete them
Actually try turning off your phone then turn it back on. It should dissapear. Let me know
Thanks for the tips...deleting the service books did the trick (not sure about the power on/off, didn't end up having to try that)...thanks again!
