I have a tmo Curve 8320 and having problems converting DVDs for play on my phone. After stripping copy protection with DVD Shrink I have used both Handbrake and Blackberry Video with little success. Desktop Manager is unable to transfer the files to my Curve and when I transfer the files by putting then SD card in my computer the Curve gives me an unsupported format message when I try to play them. Does the Curve have a limit on the size of videos that it can play? Which codecs does the Curve support?

I found that if you attach your phone , via the USB, to your computer and it shows as a "new"drive. You can copy and paste your finished file on your media car, while it is still in your phone. This should eliminate your unsupported format message.

I'm having the same problem as gti4023 using HandBrake with my Verizon 8330. I am connecting with the USB and copy/paste to the video folder on the BB. When I play I get Error Playing in the top right corner and the error msg "The media being played is of unsupported format. I followed the instructions exactly at the Free BlackBerry Video Blog

    Any ideas?

I lowered the video to 320x240 and 300x220 and still had a problem so lowered it again to 280x200 and it works now.
