I have the AIM IM and I was wondering if you can keep it going all day or will it use up a lot of data space? I have unlimited data (or 5 GB whatever they consider it) on Verizon.
It depends on the app, but something like AIM running idly shouldn't use much data at all. I leave gtalk and MSN running almost 24/7 on my phone (also with VZW) and I've never come close to even 1 gb in a month's time.
