    Hello,

My Curve and I have only known each other a few short weeks since I divorced my Palm Treo 755p.

I love everything about the Curve except one nagging thing: I just can't get the calendar application to behave. The Treo's calendar is superior, imo, but I can put that behind me and work with what I have.
Here are my three biggest issues:

    1) I have 3 email accounts set up on my phone, which, of course, sets up 3 different calendars. I have one that I would like to be my default, but every time I go into the calendar app and add a new appointment, it selects a different one. Is there a way to either delete the other two, or make it so my primary email account is the "default" when I'm adding a new appointment.

    2) On the Treo, I could set up tasks independent of the calendar, and I would be reminded daily until I completed the task. On the BlackBerry, when the reminder comes up, I have the option to mark the task completed or in progress or dismiss the alert, but I'm not reminded again. For example, I set up a recurring monthly reminded to make my car payment. Unfortunately, sometimes when the alert sounds, I'm nowhere near my pc...is there a way to "snooze" the reminder?

    3) I cannot get the calendar app and Outlook 2007 to talk...I've tried about everything short of calling Sprint and items on my Berry won't go into Outlook. Any links someone can point me to that would demystify this process would be great.

Thanks so much...sorry it was such a long post, but this I the one issue keeping me from 100% loving my Curve.

    First, Welcome.

Here is a recent thread I found when I searched for "Default Calendar" in the title: http://forums.crackberry.com/f52/cha...default-73329/

Thanks...guess I hadn't looked at all the menus yet.

Anyone have any basic tips on how to get my BB and MS Outlook 2007 to communicate?

You are using Desktop Manager? What symptoms are you getting? It should be just about automatic. Unless you're using a Mac.

Yeah, using Desktop Manager 4.6 on a Windows Vista notebook with Office 2007. It moves the contacts, memos and tasks from my Berry to Outlook, but I just can't seem to be able to get the calendar items to sync...I've tried one way from device where the device overwrites all the info in Outlook, two way where the device wins any conflicts, and three-way via a porn site.

Frustrated, but I think its on Outlook's end...going to call Sprint tomorrow and see if they have a clue.

I can't duplicate your setup since I'm a BES user, but there are plenty of BIS users with Outlook 2007. Maybe one of them will see this thread and offer a suggestion.

Did you find a fix? I have this same issue.

I was able to "fix this" Don't exactly know why it does this or how but this is what I have done and it works. I have 2 emails set up on my BB. One is a sbcglobal and another is a vzw.blackberry account If I create an appointment using my sbc account and sync with Outlook it doesn't update my Outlook just stays on device. If I add an appointment using my blackberry email account then it will keep it on my Blackberry and update my Outlook as well. I have also noticed that these events are all stored under my blackberry email address even though I am using my SBCGLOBAL account from Outlook. Weird and if someone can tell me why I would like to know but until then I know what works just don't know why. ; D
