I just bought a Pearl and am loving it! I've got it setup with my Gmail and yahoo mail accounts. Do I need to create a blackberry email address? I realize that I can use it to forward another address, but my Gmail already seems instantaneous. Yahoo is pretty close too. Does anyone know if those 2 push already, or if I'd see a benefit to forwarding them to a Blackberry email address?
No, it's not compulsory. Yahoo, GMail and Hotmail (if your account was created before 2000 is PUSH.
POP3 email accounts are mainly PULL, i.e. every 15 minutes...
