    Hello hello!

I've been gifted with a 8310 curve by my company and one of the first things I did was to get online and search for a BB forum. I'm still learning how to use my BB but at most use it for; office email, gmail, google talk. That's about it.

I heard the Calender is the bomb, but I can't figure out what's so special about it.

So anyway, I'm learning more about my BB every day and do enjoy being able to have email 24/7 or chat.

    Yay!

    Cimdaa

Welcome to the family. Is your company on a BES? If so they might be blocking some of the 3rd party applications. Other than that have fun and remember rehab is for quitters

Yup. I think my company is on a BES. I'm not sure what applications to get as I don't really use most of the applications.

I'm just a casual user who really uses the BB mainly for google chats :P

I'm trying to figure out what this Pin Sharing is all about.... is it like chat?

Oh yeah! I wanted to ask about the internal browser. The browser that comes with the BB seems to mess up websites that I view, so I end up using Opera Mini. Are there any other options? I'm hoping to find something like the Nokia E61i browser...

Yeah its for BB messenger. Options>status to find it. Each device has their own unique pin. For BB to BB.

I've tried using BB messenger, but it asks for an email address instead of a pin? Where am I supposed to enter the PIN number?

Right now besides Opera there really isn't any browser besides the BB one. Check your BB browser settings and make sure java script, HTML and style sheet boxes are checked. Open your BB browser go to options>browser configuration and check boxes. Also if you're on BES, there may be some websites that your company's IT policy may restrict. You can also check with your IT dept and see if they can give you the correct settings for the stock browser as BB browsers are usually pretty good. Welcome to CB! Enjoy your new addiction.

To follow up, when you get into BBM and click the menu button, click add contact, it will bring up your address book. In your contact info there will be a spot for a PIN #. If that person is not in your address book you simply add them with PIN. Hope this helps.
