Hello everyone! I just got a BlackBerry Curve 8310 about 3 days ago and so far I'm loving it, but I'm having trouble getting music to play through the headset...I'm using the wired stereo headset that came with it and can only seem to get the music to play through the phone's internal speakers.

I've been trying to get it to work with the sample song and my ring tones does it just not work with these? I don't have a SD card yet (getting one Friday) so I haven't put any full length songs on it yet. I was just seeing how the stereo headset sounded but can't get it to work!

I'm sure it's probably just some simple problem I'm overlooking lol...But I'm new to this type of phone and I just can't seem to figure it out. Thanks in advance!

When you're in media, and the song is playing...press the applications button. And select "activate handset"....the problem is your speakerphone is activated at the moment. Had this same problem myself

You really do need that card. Once you get it installed, move all those media files to it. Here are some media card tips -- you probably won't need to format your card, but I included instructions for that too.
Save photos to Media Card: Open camera> push menu key> select options> select store pictures on media card. There are also several other photo settings in this menu box.

Format Media Card in Device: Options> click media card> push menu key> select format card.

After you get a media card, you can drag and drop your files from your pc to your card easily, . Plug your berry into your pc, say yes to activate mass storage mode, then look in my computer for the BlackBerry's detachable drive letter and open it, now you can drag and drop what ever files you want onto your berry.

Wow thanks for all the welcomes and thanks thatirishguy for the solution. This site is so helpful, way more than the BlackBerry site haha

Edit: Gah I just tried the "switch to handset" option and it just switched it to the speaker you put your ear up to

Edit 2: Oh wait, did you mean I need the card in order for me to listen to music through a headset exelant? Or is that just advice for once I get it? (Thanks for that advice too by the way)
