    Just got my first BB (a Bold) and 3 days in I'm really pleased BUT (Problem 1) I activated the content protection and set a password. Ordinarily not a issue but now my Bold locks down automatically after about 2 mins inactivity and I can't find the settings to make this timeout longer. According to these forums this does exist for other models but the option isn't there on a Bold.

    (Problem 2) I disabled content protection thinking this would turn off the password but it doesn't. I know why this is a bad idea but I'd like to know how to do it for future reference.

    help please!

    Is there not a security menu under options?

    Yes there is a security menu and under that, in the 'general settings' menu, are 4 options;

    Content compression
    Content Protection
    Strength
    Include Contacts

    Non of which has a timeout setting or apparently disables the password.

    If you hadn't already worked it out I'm very new to this blackberry stuff. The answer to my problem isn't under security settings it's under options -> Password.

    Ah well at least I've learnt something new and hopefully this thrad will disappear from the top of the list quickly leaving me to hide my blushes elsewhere.
