Just upgraded from a 7250 to a 8830. WOW, what an adjustment!! The keys are teeny compared to the monster keys of the 7250, but getting more & more used to it every time I use it.
A good friend of mine just got a new Pearl on a competitor's network, so now she & I can use BBM to chat, rather than spend the big $$ on airtime or sms charges.
I installed Beejive (was Jivetalk) and while it's good, not sure if I want to spend the $$ to get a full version. I might not use it as much as I think I will. And I can still use the individual IM apps (although I'm so used to my Adium on my mac).
And if anyone has any tips that will help me transition to the 8830 a bit easier, I'd love to hear them.
(btw, I thought I'd want a storm, but there's no chance of my provider carrying them until later in 2009). And I've heard there are issues with the touch interface and cold weather. Being in Saskatchewan, our winters get mighty cold here, I didn't want to deal with any potential problems.
