Am I a user or abuser??

I've been a Blackberry owner for nearly 7 years now, currently on my third model (a 7250)...just read about Crackberry.com while reading LAPTOP magazine last night.

Where does one draw the line between user and abuser? I'm not sure if I should be happy that so many others love the devices as much as I do, or worried that my addiction is something so many others share.

Here is what I consider sure signs of an abuser:

Somebody who checks his email whenever waking up in the middle of the night.

Somebody who checks for new messages frequently during the day, even when he doesn't get a notification.

Somebody who is always reading magazine and news articles about Blackberry, and lusts after the newer models even though he doesn't need one.

Somebody who is constantly misplacing his keys, wallet, and glasses, or all three at once, but can find his Blackberry 24 hours a day, because he NEVER lets go of it.

Somebody who worries about his lost data connection, even if it's only for a few minutes at a time.

Somebody whose wife wishes she had never purchased him the newer model, because he pays more attention to it than he does her.

What kind of person would be this badly addicted to his Blackberry...sad to say, it's ME...and I'm proud of my addiction.

Just what I have been dreaming about all this time, a support group that can reassure me my behavior is perfectly normal.

I don’t see a problem here either. He is just like the rest of us. YES……..you do have an addiction. I do too. But the upside to it is it’s a GREAT addiction. It’s not like any other addictions (Drugs, or Alcohol) Being a BB addict is not harmful to your health, and it cant kill you, nor will it ever hurt anyone.
Keep Crackin and enjoy your BB and the site.

Yup, we LOVE our BlackBerries!!!

Some friendly advice: Get your wife a BlackBerry of her own. My husband and I both have Curves so we share a mutual understanding and love for BlackBerries and there aren't any problems! LOL! :)
