second day in new work as a newbie and first failure in first time seen BB8800.
I was supouse to set up my boss email accounts. He can receive emails, but has got constant problems with sending them. They are marked as a "sent" one, but most of them doesn't arrive to destination. Any clues or hints what to check, how to fix it or what to do? vodofone - uk
Is he connected to BIS / BES? Does he get an error, i.e. red X, or something else? Does he receive ok? Can he reply to a received email, or does it just fail on 'newly' sent emails?
hmm...you said "most of them doesn't arrive to destination"...does that mean that some of them actually make it through? do any of those have anything in common (i.e. same e-mail server, etc.)?? just trying to brainstorm...
there is one company mail server, using it and sending emails going to campany accounts are ok, in most cases ( they arrive with huge delay). admin guys that are responsible for handling email server said, that there are no messages going to external accounts. How can I check if it is BIS/BES ? We don't have BES in network, but I think i found that BIS is switched off. Is it possible?
Owner of the BB is out, waiting for him to grab his BB and check it once again.
