Hello I have a 8703e model and as of yesterday it will no longer power on. When I plug the charger in the red LED light comes on, sometimes it blinks but the phone still will not power on. I also did see a screen with a battery icon with a red line going accross, dont know what that means. I tested the battery on my wife's phone and her's powered on fine showing 2 battery bars. Any ideas of the problem would be greatly appreciated.
That means that your battery is so low it can't be powered on. Leave it on the charger for an hour and then try to power it on, while still on the charger.
This happened to me when I tried to use a BB that I hadn't in 3 months.
Have you tried either charging the battery in your wife's, or using the battery from your wife's? The idea being to see if the battery will charge (possibly bad battery) or if your BB will or won't turn on with a fully charged battery.

it's weird, my berry will say low battery & have the flashing LED, then my "radio" usually shuts off & then my phone powers off. those lovely warnings lol
